Describe the decision the file must support
A facilities team locating a room needs a different output from a designer preparing a model. Explain the intended use, required coverage, units and destination software when requesting your Orange County project. If a consultant will receive the files, ask them for their requirements first.
Separate viewing from technical exports
The standard property-tour service provides an interactive walkthrough. Floor plans, point clouds and other technical outputs need their own confirmed scope. Matterport describes MatterPak as a collection of export assets; availability and suitability still need to be checked for the project.
Agree the required accuracy and any independent verification before capture. Do not treat a visual tour as a boundary survey, fabrication drawing or substitute for the checks your design team requires.
Plan a useful file handoff
Confirm file formats, naming, delivery method and who will review the result. Include the capture date and coverage notes with the files. A small, clear handoff record makes it easier for someone joining the project later to understand what the dataset represents.
